Learn English with Internship in England

We have opportunities for "Learn English + Internship" programs in the following cities in England: Brighton, Cambridge and London.

This scheme offers the opportunity to work for an English speaking company, add valuable work experience to your CV and show that you are able to work in a professional English speaking environment. You should expect to be doing very basic jobs to start with, however you will be given more responsibilities by the company as you prove yourself capable.

Unpaid work experience is most suitable for younger students who have a good level of English and already have some experience or qualifications in the area they are looking to work in. Please note that you will be required to pass an interview at the company providing the experience. You have a better chance of being offered a placement if your English is good and if you have relevant skills and/or qualifications.

Students need to take at least a 4 week Intensive English course.

The unpaid work experience fee is £450. This does not depend on the amount of time that you choose to work for – it is a flat fee and does not include your tuition. The overall price of work placement will consist of the placement fee plus the cost of your tuition, accommodation and living expenses.

Although you must be at least an Upper-Intermediate level of English by the time you commence your work placement, your spoken English may have to be better in order for you to successfully pass an interview. If you fail an interview because of your level of English, the school cannot be held responsible.

The minimum amount of time that you can choose to work for is 4 weeks. The maximum placement length is 6 months. However if you do wish to extend the placement length after you have started, and the company are happy to do so then this fine. The amount of time that you choose to do this scheme depends on your financial situation. The majority of students take a period of 3-6 months, as it is more difficult to get work experience for a shorter period (e.g. 1-2 months). Generally placements are full time.

You should plan to not be paid at all - some students do receive their travel expenses but this should not be expected.

Most areas of business are covered, everything from Marketing to Architecture. We would need to evaluate the English level, experience and qualifications of the applicant before we can advise on what would be suitable.
